Smooth Rock Falls Announces Free Open Skate for Families in February

Smooth Rock Falls is offering opportunities for family fun with the upcoming Parent & Tot Open Skate sessions at the Reg Lamy Cultural Arena this February. These sessions invite parents to skate with their young children at no cost.

The scheduled dates and times are as follows:

• Saturday, February 15, 2025: 11:00 am to 11:30 am

• Saturday, February 22, 2025: 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm

Eligible children must be between 2 and 6 years old. Participation safety is emphasized with recommendations for wearing CSA-approved helmets. Every child must be accompanied and actively supervised by a parent or guardian on the ice. The arena allows skating aids but requires prior approval by facility workers. To maintain a safe environment, items such as sticks, chairs, strollers, or sleds are not permitted on the ice surface.
