Smooth Rock Falls Announces Organizational Restructuring Due to Financial Strain

The Town of Smooth Rock Falls has announced an organizational restructuring due to financial constraints. These changes come in response to increased costs related to insurance, services from Ontario Provincial Police, and the Cochrane District Social Services Administration Board, as well as a rise in material costs.

As part of this restructuring, the position of Protective Services Coordinator has been eliminated. Responsibilities from this role will be reallocated among other positions, and the town is exploring shared services with nearby municipalities.

The town has indicated that support measures were put in place for the employee affected by this change. The town's announcement did not specify the details of the support measures provided.
