Smooth Rock Falls named Alie Carpani its Community Events and Recreation Intern on Aug. 25.

The internship is focused on supporting local events and recreation programming in Smooth Rock Falls, including planning for the town’s 100th anniversary in April 2029.

In the role, Carpani will help organize community events and support recreation activities for residents of all ages.

The position includes connecting and collaborating with local organizations, volunteers and community groups.

The town has also launched a Community Event Survey to gather ideas for future events and activities in Smooth Rock Falls.
