Smooth Rock Falls closed the Reg Lamy Cultural Centre (Arena) on Dec. 29 because of hazardous weather, cancelling public skating scheduled for 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The town announced the closure in a weather update on its website, citing a “significant weather event” and “hazardous conditions.” No reopening time was provided.

The notice did not include additional operational details for the arena beyond the same-day closure and the cancelled public skating sessions.
