Smooth Rock Falls council to hold May 27, 2026 special meeting; closed session set for labour matters

Smooth Rock Falls town council will hold a special meeting on May 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Town Hall.

In a public notice dated May 25, the Town of Smooth Rock Falls said council will convene in closed session under Section 239(2)(d) of the Municipal Act, 2001 to discuss labour relations and employee negotiations.

The closed-session agenda lists four items: Community Events & Recreation Intern Position, Janitorial Services, Performance Evaluation, and Administrative Salary Grid.

The town said the meeting was called pursuant to Section 6.4 of the town’s Procedural By-law.

No open-session agenda items are listed in the notice.
