Smooth Rock Falls moves council meetings to 6 p.m.; March notice includes utility billing and March Break skating schedule

Smooth Rock Falls has changed the start time for its council meetings to 6 p.m., with regular meetings listed for March 2 and March 16 both set to begin at that time.

The updated time and other community notices were included in the town’s March “Citizen’s Corner” posting, which also includes reminders about utility billing, free skating during March Break, a corporate contribution, and a council expenses posting.

The town’s notice lists the March 2, 2026 council meeting at 6 p.m., followed by another meeting on March 16, 2026 at 6 p.m. The meetings previously started at 6:30 p.m.

The March notice also says water and sewer utility bills will be mailed in early March, with payment due March 31, 2026.

For March Break, the town lists free public skating sessions from March 16 to March 21. The times listed are:

• Monday, March 16: 3–4 p.m.
• Tuesday, March 17: 3–4 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 18: 3–4 p.m.
• Wednesday, March 18: 7–8 p.m.
• Thursday, March 19: 3–4 p.m.
• Friday, March 20: 4–5 p.m.
• Saturday, March 21: 10–11 a.m.

The town also reports it received a $50,000 contribution from Gemini-SRF Power Corporation.

In addition, Smooth Rock Falls says its 2025 statement of council remuneration and expenses is available on the municipal website.
