Smooth Rock Falls nominations notice lists one mayoral candidate as of May 1

As of 2:43 p.m. on May 1, Patrick Roberts was the only candidate listed for mayor on a Smooth Rock Falls “List of Nominations Filed” notice for the 2026 municipal election.

The town’s notice says nominations opened May 1 and close at 2 p.m. on Aug. 21, 2026 (Nomination Day). It also notes the list is “for information purposes only” and will be updated on an ongoing basis as nominations are received.

The notice includes one entry under “Name of candidate” and “Office,” listing “ROBERTS, Patrick” for “Mayor / Maire.” The timestamp at the bottom states the list was “unofficial” as of 2:43 p.m. May 1.

According to the notice, certification of nominations will be conducted by the clerk in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, after the nomination period closes.
