A Town of Smooth Rock Falls notice lists two nominations filed for the 2026 municipal election as of 12:36 p.m. on July 20, 2026 (unofficial). Patrick Roberts is listed as a candidate for Mayor, and Jean-Marie (Joe) Couture is listed as a candidate for Councillor.
The notice is an early snapshot of who has filed nomination papers so far and notes the list will change as more nominations come in ahead of nomination day.
According to the notice, the nomination period began May 1, 2026, and runs until nomination day on Aug. 21, 2026. The notice’s French text says nominations close at 2 p.m. (14 h) on Aug. 21.
The notice says the list is for information purposes only and will be updated on an ongoing basis as nominations are received.
After nominations close, the town clerk will certify the nominations under the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the notice says.
