Smooth Rock Falls opens registration for July swimming lessons; pool opening date not yet announced

Registration is open for swimming lessons at the Smooth Rock Falls municipal pool, with classes scheduled to run in July and the pool’s opening date for the season still not announced.

The Town of Smooth Rock Falls said it will share an official announcement about the pool opening date “soon.” In the meantime, the town has published lesson dates, registration deadlines and fees for both public and private/preschool lessons.

For public lessons, the town listed two sessions. Session 1 runs July 6–17, with a registration deadline of July 2. Session 2 runs July 20–31, with a registration deadline of July 15.

The town listed the cost for public lessons as $60 per child, per session. A family rate of $140 per session applies to three children or more.

For private and preschool lessons, the town listed four sessions. Session 1 runs July 6–10, with a registration deadline of July 2. Session 2 runs July 13–17, with a registration deadline of July 8.

Session 3 runs July 20–24, with a registration deadline of July 15. Session 4 runs July 27–31, with a registration deadline of July 22.

The town listed the cost for private/preschool lessons as $90 per child, per session. A family rate of $224.99 per session applies to three children or more.

The lesson fees are listed in Schedule B (Recreational Fees) of Town of Smooth Rock Falls By-Law 2025-88, which also lists daily pool passes at $3 per person and $10 for a family of four or more, and weekly passes at $20 per person and $50 for a family of four or more. The same schedule lists season passes at $80 per person and $220 for a family of three or more.
