Smooth Rock Falls plans asphalt patching work Oct. 3–5 on Fifth, Main and Elaine streets
The Town of Smooth Rock Falls says road preparation and asphalt patching is scheduled for Oct. 3 to Oct. 5, 2026, with work planned on Fifth Street, Main Street and Elaine Street.
Residents and businesses may see temporary traffic disruptions and short delays while the work is underway. The town says access to properties will be maintained whenever possible.
The town’s posted schedule shows preparation and grading of existing granular patches is planned for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 and 4.
Asphalt patching is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5.
On Fifth Street, the town lists work near the Pharmacy/Post Office area and the Arena area.
On Main Street and Elaine Street, the town lists work near the entrance to Caisse Alliance and near the Welcome Sign, as well as along Elaine Street.
The town is asking motorists and pedestrians to use caution in work areas and to follow temporary signage and traffic control measures.
