Smooth Rock Falls posts updated list of 2026 municipal election nominations filed as of Aug. 13

Patrick Roberts and Gratien Bernier have filed nomination papers to run for mayor in Smooth Rock Falls in the 2026 municipal election, according to the town’s latest list of nominations filed.

The list, which the Town of Smooth Rock Falls says is for information purposes, is marked “unofficial as of 3:49 p.m., August 13, 2026” and will be updated as nominations are received. Nomination Day is Aug. 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.

For council, the list shows nomination papers filed by Joe Couture (Jean-Marie), Leslie Gagnon, Tracy Gagnon and Jason Elliott.

The notice states the nomination period opened May 1, 2026 and runs until Nomination Day on Aug. 21.

After nominations close, certification of nominations will be conducted by the town clerk in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, the notice says.
