Smooth Rock Falls sets May dates for Town Hall closure, council meetings, clean-up week and 2026 election

Smooth Rock Falls Town Hall will be closed May 18 for Victoria Day.

Several other key dates are also coming up for Smooth Rock Falls residents, including two council meetings in May, the start of the nomination period for the 2026 municipal election, and the town’s annual spring clean-up collection week.

Emergency Preparedness Week runs May 3–9 across Ontario. In its May 2026 “Citizen’s Corner” notice, the Town of Smooth Rock Falls cites severe weather, power outages, flooding and forest fires as example emergencies.

Smooth Rock Falls council meetings are scheduled for May 6 (listed as a new date) and May 19. Both meetings are set for 6 p.m., according to the notice.

Municipal election day is Oct. 26, 2026, and the nomination period starts May 1, 2026.

The town’s spring clean-up curbside collection is scheduled for the week of June 1 to 5, 2026. The notice also says Françoise Landry Day will be recognized June 5, 2026.
