Smooth Rock Falls sets October 2026 dates for Town Hall closure, election voting, council meetings and fall events

Smooth Rock Falls Town Hall will be closed Monday, Oct. 12, 2026, for the Thanksgiving weekend, and key municipal dates in October include advance voting on Oct. 3, council meetings on Oct. 5 and Oct. 19, and municipal election day on Oct. 26.

With fall events also scheduled throughout the month, residents may want to note the dates and times for voting, council meetings, and community activities.

Advance voting for the 2026 municipal election is set for Saturday, Oct. 3 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Smooth Rock Falls Community Centre.

Municipal election day is Monday, Oct. 26, 2026.

Smooth Rock Falls council is scheduled to meet twice in October, with both meetings starting at 6 p.m.: Oct. 5, 2026, and Oct. 19, 2026.

A Fall Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Liz McCafferty Park. The event description includes seasonal activities, games, live music and a first annual pie contest.

Two Halloween events are scheduled at the SRF Legion near the end of the month.

A Kids Halloween Bash is set for Friday, Oct. 30, with ages 0–7 scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and ages 8 and up from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Activities listed include games, treats and hot dogs.

A 19+ Halloween Dance is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 31 at the SRF Legion. Doors open at 9 p.m.; live music by Steffy is scheduled from 9:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., followed by a DJ dance.
