Speed limit returns to 80 km/h on Timmins’ Highway 67/Municipal Road after repairs
The speed limit on Timmins’ Highway 67/Municipal Road returned to 80 km/h on May 1, 2026, after asphalt repairs were completed, the City of Timmins says.
The change ends a temporary speed reduction that had been in place on part of the road during work on deteriorating asphalt.
City crews are removing temporary signs and replacing speed limit signage, according to the city’s May 1 update.
The city said it imposed the temporary reduction on April 10 due to asphalt conditions on the municipality’s section of Highway 67/Municipal Road from Highway 101 East to the city boundary, a stretch it described as approximately 9.1 kilometres.
The city advised drivers to watch for road crews and slow down in active work zones while signs are being installed.
