Statistics Canada Reports 2.7% Increase in Consumer Price Index for March 2025
Statistics Canada reports that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 2.7% on a year-over-year basis in March 2025. The annual increase in February 2025 was 2.8%.
Statistics Canada also stated that, excluding gasoline prices, the CPI rose 2.9% year-over-year in March, which was a decrease from the 3.0% increase observed in February. Month-over-month, the CPI climbed by 0.2% in March, following a 0.4% increase in February.
