Sweet Cream Mini Patisserie Recalled Due to Salmonella Risk
The Canada Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has announced a recall of Sweet Cream brand Mini Patisserie products due to potential Salmonella contamination. The recall includes Mini Patisserie Tray A and Tray B, available in 1 kg (30 pieces) and approximately 4 kg (4 boxes x 30 pieces) sizes. The affected products have UPC codes 8 058302 730004, 8 058302 730011, and 8 058302 730028, with best before dates from June 17, 2025, to November 15, 2025.
Salmonella infection can lead to serious health issues, particularly for young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems. Symptoms may include fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea.
The recalled products were distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Quebec, and potentially other regions. Consumers are advised not to consume, serve, use, sell, or distribute the affected products. Instead, they should dispose of them or return them to the place of purchase.
This recall was initiated following a CFIA investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak. The agency continues to conduct further investigations to ensure food safety.
