Timmins bulk item collection continued May 21 in area scheduled for previous day

Bulk item collection continued in Timmins on Wednesday, May 21, in an area that had been scheduled for the previous day, the city said.

The City of Timmins Environmental Services Department said the collection is still underway because crews are dealing with the volume of items set out and other operational requirements.

The city said work on May 21 covered areas north of Algonquin Boulevard and south of Jubilee Avenue and Ross Avenue, starting at Lakeshore Road and moving west to the Mattagami River.

Residents in that area are asked to leave bulk items at the curb. The city said crews will return to collect remaining materials as collection continues.

The city said bulk item pickup has been completed in Mountjoy, west of the Mattagami River, and in the Kamiskotia Lake area.

Environmental Services said it will provide further updates as needed.
