Timmins bulk item collection continues in two areas as of May 25, 2026

Bulk item collection in Timmins was still underway in two areas as of May 25, 2026, and may take longer to finish because of the volume of material and “operational requirements,” according to the city’s Environmental Services Department.

The city’s notice affects residents in the listed areas who have set large items at the curb. The department said residents should leave items out while crews continue pickup, and that more updates will be issued as needed.

One collection area includes locations north of Algonquin Boulevard and south of Jubilee and Ross, starting at Lakeshore Road and working west to the Mattagami River, the city said.

A second area begins on Legion Drive heading east, including South Porcupine, Porcupine and Connaught Hill, according to the notice. It also includes areas west of the traffic lights on Highway 101 East and the Ferguson/Bristol Road area.

The Environmental Services Department said residents in these areas are asked to leave bulk items at the curb while collection continues, and that crews will return to pick up remaining materials as work progresses.

The city also asked residents to keep items curbside until an official update confirms their area has been fully completed.
