Timmins bulk item pickup continues in Algonquin Blvd. area and South Porcupine, with crews working the weekend
Environmental Services crews in Timmins will continue bulk item pickup in two areas and plan to work through the weekend, according to a city update posted May 22.
The city is asking residents in the affected neighbourhoods to leave bulk items at the curb and keep them there until the city confirms their area is finished.
One pickup area covers locations north of Algonquin Boulevard and south of Jubilee Avenue and Ross Avenue, starting at Lakeshore Road and working west to the Mattagami River.
A second pickup area starts on Legion Drive and heads east, including South Porcupine, Porcupine and Connaught Hill. The city’s update also includes areas west of the traffic lights on Highway 101 East and Ferguson/Bristol Road within the ongoing collection zone.
The city said crews will return for remaining materials as the work progresses.
Pickup may take longer than usual because of the volume of items and how the work must be scheduled, the city said.
