Timmins City Council Develops New 10-Year Culture and Tourism Strategy

The Timmins City Council has formulated a new 10-year strategy to enhance the local culture and tourism sectors. This strategic plan expands on objectives initially set forth in the 2014 Culture, Tourism, and Recreation Master Plan.

The plan is structured into a Culture Master Plan and a Tourism Master Plan. According to Karen Bachmann, Director of Cultural Services, the Culture Master Plan, which includes 27 recommendations, is aimed at refining policy, increasing community engagement, and developing cultural spaces.
