Timmins Council Approves Construction Contract for Highway 101 Segment

The City of Timmins has granted approval for the annual rehabilitation project of the Connecting Link, awarding the construction contract to GIP Interpaving Ltd. This decision was finalized during the recent city council meeting. The contract's value, excluding taxes, stands at $21,758,222.

The upcoming project will focus on Segment 13 of the highway, which extends from Crawford Street to the Porcupine River Bridge. This work is part of the city's continuous efforts to manage and update the infrastructure along the Connecting Link.

Timmins City Council has confirmed that the project aims to address infrastructure needs identified in their planning. The dynamic schedule is set to proceed with an emphasis on reducing disruptions during the construction period, ensuring progress without significant interference to local daily activities.
