Timmins hazardous waste drop-off set for June 13 at Spruce Snow Dump

Timmins will hold its annual Household Hazardous and Special Waste Event on Saturday, June 13, 2026, with a free drop-off for items such as paint, pesticides, batteries and propane tanks from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Spruce Snow Dump.

The one-day event accepts household hazardous and special waste that is not picked up with regular garbage collection or accepted at the landfill.

The event will be drive-thru. Entry is off Pine Street South, left onto Iroquois Road East, and past the Timmins Transit Garage.

Residents must stay in their vehicles while volunteers collect items for disposal.

Accepted items include paint, aerosols, single-use batteries, single-use propane cylinders and refillable propane tanks, pesticides, antifreeze, fuel and oil, pharmaceuticals, compact fluorescents and fluorescent tubes, and household electronics.

Textiles and household goods will not be accepted.

Items such as old paint and pesticides can contaminate soil and groundwater and require specific collection and containment.

A map and directions to the location are available online at https://www.timmins.ca/our_services/waste_recycling_services/hazardous_waste_event.

The drop-off is for residents only; commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted.
