Timmins Introduces Free Sunscreen Dispensers at Key Locations

The City of Timmins, in collaboration with the Save Your Skin Foundation (SYSF), is providing free sunscreen at key locations throughout the summer. The initiative involves the Porcupine Health Unit and the City’s Community Safety and Well-being Team. The goal is to raise awareness about skin cancer and promote prevention by offering SPF 30 broad spectrum sunscreen.

Automatic, touchless dispensers will be available at Gilles Lake Beach, the Porcupine Health Unit on Pine St. S., and the Downtown BIA Urban Market on Wednesdays. The sunscreen provided is a Health Canada approved zinc oxide-based mineral sunscreen, free from common allergens and ingredients like sodium lauryl sulphate.
