Timmins launches transit master plan survey, open until July 10

The City of Timmins launched a public survey on June 25 to gather feedback for a new Timmins Transit Master Plan, with responses accepted until Friday, July 10, 2026.

The city says the survey will help it assess Timmins Transit’s current network and service delivery, along with ridership trends and travel patterns, as it looks at how public transportation can meet changing needs.

The city is seeking input from both current transit riders and non-riders. It also says it wants to hear from employers, students, seniors, persons with disabilities, and community agencies and service providers.

The survey is available online at www.timmins.ca/our_services/timmins_transit/timmins_transit_study.

For residents without internet access, paper copies are available for pickup at:

  • Service Timmins, 220 Algonquin Blvd. E.
  • Timmins Transit Terminal Office, 54 Spruce St. S.
  • Timmins Public Library, 320 2nd Ave.
  • C.M. Shields Branch Library, 99 Bloor Ave.

The city has not provided a completion timeline for the master plan or outlined specific transit changes as part of the survey announcement.
