Timmins Library and CMHA Office Lockdown Lifted After Weapons Call
This afternoon, the Timmins Police Service responded to a weapons call at the Timmins Public Library and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) office. The CMHA received information indicating that an individual was reportedly seen with a firearm outside of the building.
Officers conducted a thorough search of the area. After an extensive investigation, no person with a firearm was located, and no evidence of a threat was found.
As a result, the area has been declared safe, and the lockdown has been lifted. Both the Timmins Library and the CMHA office have resumed normal operations and are now open to the public.
