Timmins Library Renovates for New Makerspace
The Timmins Public Library is undergoing renovations to create a new makerspace for older teens and young adults. The space will be located inside the Main Library and will feature technology for graphic design, digital art, and multimedia production.
The project is funded by the Government of Canada’s Building Safer Communities Fund and supported by the Timmins Public Library Board. The aim is to provide a hub for exploration, creativity, learning, and connection.
Renovations have already started, and the library plans to equip the space with cutting-edge technology to support various activities.
