Timmins lists Easter long weekend closures and service changes for April 3–6, 2026
Municipal services in Timmins will operate on a reduced schedule over the Easter long weekend, with closures and changes in effect from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6, 2026, according to the City of Timmins’ 2026 Easter municipal schedule. The notice lists changes to Service Timmins and the Provincial Offences Office, household waste and recycling pickup, Deloro Landfill, Timmins Transit, the Timmins Museum: NEC, both branches of the Timmins Public Library, the Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool, and Timmins Economic Development.
The schedule affects routine services many residents rely on, including when garbage and recycling will be collected, whether local transit is running, and which public facilities will be open over the holiday weekend.
Service Timmins and the Provincial Offences Office will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
There will be no household waste and recycling collection on Good Friday. Friday’s collection will be completed on Monday, April 6, 2026. Collection that falls on Easter Monday will be collected as scheduled.
Deloro Landfill will be closed on Good Friday.
Timmins Transit will not operate on Good Friday or Easter Sunday. Transit service on Easter Monday will run on a standard Sunday schedule.
The Timmins Museum: NEC will be closed on Good Friday, Sunday, and Monday. The museum will be open Saturday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Both branches of the Timmins Public Library will be closed on Good Friday, Sunday, and Monday.
The Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool will be closed on Good Friday, Sunday, and Monday. The pool will operate regular hours on Saturday.
Timmins Economic Development will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday.
