Timmins lists Victoria Day 2026 closures; household waste pickup moves to May 19

Several City of Timmins services will be closed or unavailable for Victoria Day on Monday, May 18, 2026, including Timmins Transit, the Deloro Landfill and both branches of the Timmins Public Library. The city also says there will be no household waste collection that day, with Monday pickup moved to Tuesday, May 19.

The schedule affects residents who rely on city facilities, transit or regular garbage pickup, since multiple locations and services will not be operating on the holiday.

Service Timmins and the Provincial Offences Office will be closed on May 18.

Household waste will not be collected on Monday, May 18, 2026. The city says Monday’s collection will be completed on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.

Deloro Landfill will be closed on May 18.

Timmins Transit will not run on May 18.

Timmins Museum: NEC will be closed on May 18.
