Timmins Monitors Road Conditions Due to Pending Load Restrictions

The City of Timmins is actively monitoring weather and road conditions to prepare for the implementation of reduced load restrictions on commercial vehicles and trailers. These restrictions are based on By-law 2006-6275 and can be enacted any time after March 1. The purpose of these restrictions is to safeguard road infrastructure during the spring thaw season, which can compromise road integrity.

The enforcement of these restrictions will apply to commercial operators throughout municipal roads in the Northeast. The Public Works Department is tasked with determining the appropriate timing for these measures to minimize road damage and ensure infrastructure stability during transitional weather conditions.
