Timmins municipal services close for Labour Day on Sept. 7; Monday garbage pickup moves to Sept. 8

Municipal services in Timmins will be closed or unavailable for Labour Day on Monday, Sept. 7, 2026, and household waste and recycling normally collected on Mondays will be picked up Tuesday, Sept. 8.

The holiday schedule affects several services that residents use, including Service Timmins counters, Timmins Transit, Deloro Landfill, the Timmins Public Library and the Timmins Museum: NEC.

Service Timmins and the Provincial Offences Centre will be closed Sept. 7.

There will be no household waste and recycling collection on Monday, Sept. 7. Monday’s collection will be completed on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Deloro Landfill will be closed.

Timmins Transit will not run Sept. 7.

The Timmins Museum: NEC will be closed.

Both branches of the Timmins Public Library will be closed.

Timmins Economic Development will be closed.

The Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool will be closed for regular annual maintenance and will reopen Sept. 8.
