Timmins plans overnight restrictions and closure on Brunette Rd. Aug. 24 for storm infrastructure work
The City of Timmins says it will impose overnight traffic restrictions on Brunette Road on Monday, Aug. 24, 2026, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The city says drivers will be limited to local traffic only on Brunette Rd. between Second Avenue and Algonquin Boulevard East, and Brunette Rd. will be fully closed south of the Algonquin Boulevard intersection.
The restrictions may affect drivers using Brunette Rd. overnight, particularly those who normally travel through the intersection area. The city says the work is scheduled overnight to minimize traffic impact.
According to the city’s disruption notice, the restrictions are tied to “overnight storm infrastructure work.”
The city said the work is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., but noted the times may vary.
The notice did not include detour information.
