Timmins Police Arrest Man Over Vehicle Break-In and Theft
An individual has been arrested by the Timmins Police Service in connection with a recent vehicle break-in and theft. The arrest of 36-year-old Ryan Stoney took place on February 27th, 2025, during a routine police patrol. The officer observed suspicious activity, prompting an intervention, during which the suspect attempted to flee but was successfully detained.
Ryan Stoney faces several charges, including Mischief Under $5,000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, Possession of Break-In Instruments, Obstruct Peace Officer, and two counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order, as well as Theft Under $5,000.
Currently, Stoney is in custody awaiting a court appearance scheduled for March 7th, 2025. The Timmins Police Service advises residents to ensure their vehicles are secure and to keep valuables hidden to prevent future incidents.
