Timmins Police Conduct Traffic Enforcement Blitz
On the evening of July 18, 2024, the Timmins Police Service conducted a 2-hour traffic enforcement blitz focusing on impairment checks. During this operation, 20 traffic stops were initiated, resulting in the administration of 8 Approved Screen Device (ASD) tests.
By the end of the evening, the following actions were taken:
- 14 warnings were issued for various Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violations, including:
- Speeding
- Driving without headlights
- 2 Provincial Offences Notices were issued for drivers not surrendering their documents, such as driver's licenses and vehicle permits.
