Timmins police increase presence near New Street and Bristol Road during May 20 incident

Timmins police said officers responding to an incident increased police presence near New Street and Bristol Road on May 20, 2026.

Police said temporary road restrictions may be in place in the area as emergency personnel work at the scene.

Police asked the public to avoid the area if possible and to keep a safe distance.

In an online update posted May 20, the Timmins Police Service said no further information was available for release at that time and that updates would be provided when appropriate.
