Timmins Police Service is investigating a weapons-related incident reported Feb. 12, 2026, in the Laidlaw area after officers found an adult with serious injuries to the leg inside a residence and transported the person to hospital, police said.

The incident is under investigation by the service’s Criminal Investigation Division, and police are asking for witnesses or anyone with information to report what they know.

According to a Timmins Police Service release, officers responded in the Laidlaw area after reports of an altercation involving a weapon.

Police said they located the injured adult inside a residence and took the person to hospital for medical treatment.

The investigation has been assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division and remains ongoing, police said.
