Timmins police renew appeal to identify man shown in image tied to 2022 homicide case
Timmins police renewed a public appeal on Jan. 28 asking for help identifying a man shown in an image linked to the Dec. 18, 2022 homicide of Keeth Duphney-Tennant.
The Timmins Police Service said the homicide investigation remains ongoing and that it is seeking to identify the man pictured “in order to assist in the investigation.”
Duphney-Tennant was a 22-year-old man from Toronto, police said.
In a news release, police said Duphney-Tennant was at 32 Mountjoy Street South in Timmins on Dec. 18, 2022. Shortly after 10 a.m., an unknown man arrived at the residence and became involved in an argument with him.
Police said the suspect fired a single shot through a door at Duphney-Tennant, causing his death.
The image shared by police shows a single person walking on a snow-covered surface. The person appears to be wearing a dark hooded parka with fur trim, and the face is not clearly visible.
Although the renewed appeal was posted Jan. 28, the graphic attached to the release is dated “January 6, 2026.”
