Timmins Police Seize Drugs and Weapons in South Area Raid
On April 4, 2024, the Timmins Police Service executed a search warrant at a residence in the south area of Timmins. The search resulted in the seizure of a 9 mm handgun, ammunition, Canadian currency estimated to be under $5000.00, and various drugs including 79.6 grams of Fentanyl, 73.8 grams of cocaine, 76.5 grams of Methamphetamine tablets, 4.5 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, 228 grams of psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms), and 18 pregabalin capsules. The street value of the drugs is estimated at $42,103.00.
Adam Longpre, 41, of Timmins, was arrested and charged with numerous firearm and drug-related offences, as well as failing to comply with a release order. Longpre was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for April 5, 2024.
