Timmins police to close Aunor Beach Road and area Aug. 18–19, 2026 for evidence search

Timmins police will close Aunor Beach Road and the surrounding area to the public on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026, and Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, while officers conduct an evidence search.

The closure means access to the beach will be restricted during those two days, which could affect people planning to visit the area.

The Timmins Police Service said the area is being closed to allow investigators to conduct the evidence search.

Police asked the public to avoid the area and respect the closure while the investigation is underway.

Police have not released details about what the search is related to, and said further information will be provided when appropriate.
