Timmins postpones May 11 night street sweeping on McIntyre Roads and part of Schumacher Highway

In a May 12 notice, the City of Timmins Public Works department said it has postponed the night street sweeping scheduled for Monday, May 11 on McIntyre Roads and on Schumacher Highway from Highway 655 to Carium Road.

The change is part of an updated street sweeping schedule for the week of May 11, 2026, and applies only to the route listed as “Night Shift Timmins.”

Public Works said the schedule change is due to “operational issues.”

The city’s notice lists the postponed work as: “Night Shift Timmins – scheduled – McIntyre Roads, Schumacher Highway – 655 to Carium Rd. will be re-scheduled for a later date.”

The city did not provide a new date for when the postponed night shift street sweeping will take place.
