Timmins Public Library Main Branch closes at 5 p.m. March 18 due to snow on roof

The Timmins Public Library Main Branch at 320 Second Ave. closed at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2026, because of significant snow accumulation on the building’s roof, and will remain closed until further notice.

The City of Timmins said the snowfall this season has created conditions that require the snow to be removed from the roof.

The library’s C.M. Shields Centennial Branch in South Porcupine is open Monday to Saturday.

The city said it will share a reopening date when one is available.
