Timmins Public Library Main Branch to reopen March 20 as roof snow removal continues
Timmins Public Library’s Main Branch is set to reopen to the public on Friday, March 20, 2026, while snow removal operations continue on the building’s roof, according to a City of Timmins notice posted Thursday.
The city said the reopening follows an assessment by Rivard Engineering, which deemed the building safe to reopen while the roof work is being carried out.
The notice said the library had been temporarily closed before the reopening announcement. The city did not provide details about how long the roof snow removal is expected to continue.
In the same notice, library staff thanked residents for their patience during the closure.
