Timmins reports raw overflow at Miners Street Pump Station; end time and volume listed as ‘TBD’

The City of Timmins says a raw overflow occurred at the Miners Street Pump Station, starting at 7:19 a.m. on April 18, 2026, at 1139 Brundy Ave.

In a notice posted by the city’s Environmental Services Department, several key details were not yet listed, including when the overflow ended and how much wastewater was bypassed.

The city’s notice lists the end date, end time and volume bypassed as “TBD.” The notice does not state what caused the overflow.

The city also included general information about its wastewater system, saying overflows or bypasses can happen when a treatment plant or treatment process is overwhelmed.

In the same notice, the city asked residents to conserve water by delaying or limiting water use such as laundry, long showers or running the dishwasher during rain storms.
