Timmins reschedules night street sweeping on James, Sixth and Toke to June 9

The City of Timmins has rescheduled night street sweeping on James Avenue, Sixth Avenue and Toke Avenue from Wednesday, June 3 to Tuesday, June 9, 2026.

The change affects residents and drivers who use those streets, as night sweeping can involve temporary disruptions such as roadside parking restrictions and street-cleaning equipment operating overnight.

In a notice posted June 2, the city said the schedule change is to accommodate shave-and-pave contract work.

The June 3 night sweeping schedule still includes MacLean Drive from Vimy Avenue to Kaleidoscope Cooperative Homes, as well as Victoria Avenue, according to the notice.

The city described the work as a “Night Shift” but did not list specific hours.
