Timmins says bulk item collection continues south of Algonquin Boulevard as of May 14

Bulk item collection in Timmins continued May 14 in all areas south of Algonquin Boulevard, from the Mattagami River east to Railway Street, including Dalton Road up to the end of the asphalt, the city said.

The City of Timmins’ Environmental Services Department said the pickup in that area may take additional time to complete because of the volume of items and “operational requirements.”

The city asked residents in the south-end collection area to leave bulk items at the curb. Crews will return to collect remaining materials as work progresses, the city said.

The city also said bulk item collection has been completed in all areas north of Ross Avenue and Jubilee Avenue. That completed area runs from Airport Road (including rural areas) east to Highway 655, according to the city’s May 14 notice.

The update was posted by the city on the afternoon of May 14. The city said it will provide further updates as needed.
