Timmins says bulk item collection still underway May 20, 2026 in Mountjoy west of Mattagami River, Kamiskotia Lake area
Bulk item collection was still underway in Timmins on May 20, 2026, in the Mountjoy area west of the Mattagami River and in the Kamiskotia Lake area, according to an update from the City of Timmins Environmental Services Department posted at 4:01 p.m.
For residents in those neighbourhoods, the city said collection could take longer than planned and items left for pickup may remain at the curb until crews complete the route.
In its notice, Environmental Services said the work was continuing in areas that had been scheduled for collection that day. The city attributed the delay to “volume and operational requirements.”
The city asked residents in the affected areas to leave bulk items at the curb. It said crews will return to collect remaining materials as work progresses.
The update did not include an estimated completion time. The city said it will provide additional updates as needed.
