Timmins says bulk item collection still underway May 27 in South Porcupine, Porcupine and nearby neighbourhoods

Bulk item collection was still underway in South Porcupine, Porcupine, Connaught Hill, Bob’s Lake and Connaught as of 4:09 p.m. May 27, according to an update from the City of Timmins Environmental Services Department.

For residents waiting on pickup, the city said the work may take longer to finish because of the volume of material and operational requirements, and that items should be left at the curb while crews continue through the area.

In its update, the city outlined two parts of the route. Crews were working from Legion Drive heading east, including South Porcupine, Porcupine, Connaught Hill, and west of the traffic lights at Hwy. 101 E. and Ferguson / Bristol Rd.

The city said crews were also continuing from the traffic lights at Hwy. 101 E. and Ferguson / Bristol Rd., heading west through Porcupine, Bob’s Lake, and Connaught.

The city said it will issue another update confirming when each area’s bulk item collection has been completed.
