Timmins says bulk item pickup continued May 26 in South Porcupine, Porcupine and nearby areas
Bulk item collection continued in parts of Timmins on May 26, 2026, including South Porcupine, Porcupine, Connaught Hill, Bob’s Lake and Connaught, according to the City of Timmins’ Environmental Services Department.
The city said pickup in the affected neighbourhoods may take longer than planned because of the amount of material set out and “operational requirements.”
According to the city’s update, one collection route starts on Legion Drive and heads east, covering South Porcupine, Porcupine and Connaught Hill, as well as the area west of the traffic lights at Highway 101 East and Ferguson/Bristol Road.
The city said a second route starts at the Highway 101 East and Ferguson/Bristol Road traffic lights and heads west through Porcupine, Bob’s Lake and Connaught.
Environmental Services asked residents in those areas to leave bulk items at the curb while crews continue the collection. The city said crews will return to collect remaining materials as work progresses.
The city also reported that collection has been completed in the area north of Algonquin Boulevard and south of Jubilee and Ross, from Lakeshore Road west to the Mattagami River.
The update was posted by the City of Timmins on the municipal website at about 3:41 p.m. on May 26.
