Timmins scheduled citywide overnight snow plowing for Jan. 13, with winter parking ban in effect
A citywide overnight snow-plowing operation in Timmins was scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2026, and was expected to run through the night and continue into the daytime hours.
The work affects drivers who use on-street parking overnight, because Timmins’ winter parking ban applies throughout the winter season during specific hours.
According to a notice posted by the City of Timmins Public Works Department at 2:39 p.m. on Jan. 13, plow crews were to be deployed across the city to clear city streets, rural roads, laneways and parking lots.
The city’s winter parking ban prohibits parking on any street between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. from Nov. 1 through April 30, the notice states.
The city did not provide an end time for the overnight plowing operation beyond noting it was anticipated to last “all evening” and continue into the day.
