Timmins schedules May 22 public meeting on zoning change for 324 Feldman Rd.
Timmins city council will hold a public meeting Friday, May 22, 2026, at 10 a.m. in council chambers at 220 Algonquin Blvd. East to hear comments on a proposed zoning bylaw amendment for 324 Feldman Rd.
The change would rezone the property to allow Highway Commercial uses and permit construction of an approximately 151.05-square-metre, two-storey office building. The application also seeks several reduced setback requirements for the proposed building and existing structures on the site.
The applicant is 2479023 Ontario Inc. Rivard Engineering is listed as the agent. The file number is Z-2026-04.
In its notice, the city said the proposal would rezone the lands from Rural (RD-RU), Rural – Flood Fringe (RD-RU-f) and Hazard Lands (RD-HAZ) to Highway Commercial (EA-CH) SP6.203 and Hazard Lands (RD-HAZ).
As part of the application, the city said the applicant is seeking relief from Timmins Zoning By-law 2011-7100 for several yard setbacks.
For the proposed office building, the application seeks to reduce the rear yard setback from 7.5 metres to 2.90 metres.
For the existing office trailer, the application seeks to reduce the front yard setback from 14.0 metres to 6.15 metres and reduce the interior side yard setback from 3.0 metres to 2.13 metres.
For the existing storage garage #1, the application seeks to reduce the interior side yard setback from 3.0 metres to 0.39 metres.
For the existing storage container, the application seeks to reduce the interior side yard setback from 3.0 metres to 2.43 metres.
The notice says the public meeting is being held under Section 34 of Ontario’s Planning Act.
