Timmins set June 26 traffic restrictions for crosswalk painting at two intersections

Temporary traffic restrictions were scheduled in Timmins on Friday, June 26, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., as city crews painted crosswalks and stop bars at two intersections: Ross Avenue at Pine Street North and Jubilee Avenue at MacLean Drive.

The City of Timmins said drivers could see changing access at both intersections during the work window, with closures shifting from one approach to another rather than a full shutdown of the intersections.

At Ross Avenue and Pine Street North, each approach to the intersection was to be closed individually while crews completed crosswalk and stop bar painting. The city said access would be maintained through alternating approach closures.

The same approach-by-approach closure plan was in place at Jubilee Avenue and MacLean Drive while crews painted the crosswalk and stop bar, with access maintained through alternating closures, the city said.

The city asked motorists to obey posted signage, exercise caution when travelling through the work zones, and use alternate routes where possible.
